Jo Kelly University of South Wales UK
Dr. Jo Kelly returned to the UK from Australia in 2019 where she had lived for over 20 years. She undertook her Masters in Mental Health (Art Therapy) and PhD (in Education) at the University of Queensland and Southern Cross University respectively.
While in Australia, Jo was a committee member of ANZATA (later ANZACATA) being president from 2014-2018. During this tenure, the committee the organisation became a limited company to meet the growing demands of membership. For a short time she was Acting Executive Officer. Jo is a Senior Lecturer at the University of South Wales and have been employed there since 2019. She has a private practice and work at an independent boarding school.
Jo’s key areas of work are with children and young people and is particularly interested in supporting graduates in their new careers.
Jo is HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered, a member of BAAT (British Association of Art Therapy), registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and accredited with the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society). As an artist, she exhibits her work through the BAAT regional group.
